Think fast: Riesling or Sauvignon Blanc? If you picked the former, you might be impulsive, according to a new study. Using a series of personality tests, British and Australian researchers discovered that people who prefer sweet wine are more likely to act before thinking, while those who choose dry wines tend to be open and accepting.
Now, as a oenophile with a serious preference for dry wine–any alcohol that’s too sweet gives me a headache–I’d love to believe this study … but it was only conducted on 45 people, and the researchers are quick to point out that additional studies need to be conducted to reaffirm the results.
No matter what you’ll be sipping this weekend, have a good one. Cheers!
