My breakfast this morning. Delish!
Confession: I’ve been bored with breakfast, and feeling like I’ve been eating too much these days. So instead of my usual morning meal—eggs with spinach with a whole grain waffle or a slice of toast—I opted for fresh mango and an apricot (along with my usual espresso with steamed milk). Light, delicious, and most importantly, boredom-busting!
If you’ve been hit with a case of the dietary blahs, why not swap out one of your standards for some fresh fruit and veggies? (Throw in a few nuts if you want a little protein). It’s a great way to give your digestive system a one-day break and bring down your calorie count, too.

Sounds good but I could never last more than an hour or two on a breakfast that light! I’d need some kind of protein to hold me over. But I’d be willing to try that with some greek yogurt and walnuts!
Claire, I usually have much bigger breakfasts, but I found that as a one-day change, it was surprisingly easy. I had a handful of almonds at 10 and lunch at noon and felt fine–no low blood sugar or crazy hunger cravings. Definitely not a regular strategy, though!
It’s funny, from intro I expected you to jazz things up and instead you jazzed them down. I love that fruit was what you went to for variety. I love fruit-based breakfasts.
